We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Safety & Compliance Manager to join our growing team. Position Overview

As a Safety & Compliance Manager , you will oversee safety programs, regulatory compliance initiatives, driver qualification processes, and operational audits. You will work closely with leadership, operations teams, and drivers to ensure company policies and transportation regulations are consistently followed while fostering a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities as a Safety & Compliance Manager:

Safety Management & Compliance

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and compliance initiatives across assigned locations
• Monitor adherence to company policies, DOT regulations, and transportation industry standards
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
• Identify potential risks and recommend corrective actions to improve operational safety
• Ensure regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal transportation requirements

Driver Qualification & Record Management

• Maintain accurate records of driver qualifications, certifications, licensing, background screenings, and drug and alcohol testing
• Monitor compliance deadlines and ensure all required documentation remains current
• Support onboarding processes and compliance verification for new drivers

Incident Investigation & Risk Reduction

• Investigate accidents, safety incidents, and operational concerns
• Conduct root-cause analyses and develop corrective action plans
• Track incident trends and recommend strategies to reduce risks and prevent future occurrences
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation for leadership and regulatory agencies as required

Training & Operational Support

• Assist with the development and delivery of safety training programs and educational initiatives
• Promote a culture of accountability, safety awareness, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure consistent compliance practices throughout the organization
• Provide guidance and support to managers and drivers regarding safety procedures and regulatory requirements

Communication & Leadership

• Serve as a key resource for safety and compliance-related matters
• Communicate effectively with drivers, management, regulatory agencies, and external partners
• Support organizational goals through proactive problem-solving and strategic safety initiatives

Qualifications as a Safety & Compliance Manager:

• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, transportation compliance, and fleet safety programs
• Experience in safety management, compliance, transportation operations, or a related field preferred
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with compliance reporting and documentation processes
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and committed to operational excellence
