About This Role
Compensation : Step 1 $26, 983 annually
Hours : 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Stepping Stones Learning Institute is an early childhood center proudly partnering with the Trenton school district to deliver high-quality preschool education. We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and dedicated Preschool Teacher Assistant to join our collaborative team and make a lasting impact on our youngest learners.
What You'll Do- Assist in delivering small-group activities, circle time, and play-based learning experiences that align with district early learning standards
- Help maintain a structured, positive, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and social-emotional growth
- Help track student progress, milestones, and behaviors to assist the Lead Teacher in assessments and parent-teacher conferences
- Ensure continuous, vigilant supervision of children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meal times, and transition periods
- Adhere to both childcare licensing regulations and specific school district guidelines regarding health, safety, and educational standards
As a result of our partnership with the school district, candidates must have an associate degree or passed the ParaPro Exam
- Strong communication skills for interacting with young children
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with diverse learning populations
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift 30-40 lbs
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
