Job Overview At CVS Health, the Pharmacy Manager plays a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence in each pharmacy, acting as a role model and ensuring high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Lead, develop, and coach pharmacy team members, promoting best practices and continuous improvement. Oversee bench operations, ensuring safe and accurate prescription fulfillment and adherence to workflow procedures. Provide patient counseling, immunizations, and clinical services (e.g., COVID/Flu, hormonal contraception) to improve patient outcomes. Manage pharmacy inventory, particularly cold chain products, and support inventory best practices. Conduct onboarding for new Technicians and Pharmacists, ensuring timely completion of training and licensure. Ensure compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations and CVS Health policies, escalating concerns as needed. Partner with the Store Manager to maintain a talent pipeline, including cross‑training and licensure readiness. Oversee performance of Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists through observation, feedback, and annual reviews. Write, delegate, or supervise pharmacy scheduling to meet business needs. Analyze business reports, identify gaps, and develop action plans to improve workflow, service, and compliance. Create a culture of safety, empowerment, and inclusion, encouraging feedback and addressing concerns. Maintain clinical and technical skills through required training and continuing medical education. Essential Functions Regular attendance, including nights and weekends. Completion of required training within designated timeframes. Strong focus, multitasking ability, and quick task switching. Accurate prescription verification and labeling. Excellent customer service orientation. Effective verbal and written communication. Mathematical reasoning for dispensing calculations. Problem‑resolution skills for patient and colleague interactions. Physical ability to lift, reach, and move items up to 20 lbs. Required Qualifications Active Pharmacist License in the state of the store. Active National Provider Identifier (NPI). Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list. 1‑2 years of experience as a Pharmacist. Clinical and technical knowledge applicable to pharmacy operations and patient care. Strong leadership, coaching, and people‑management skills. Preferred Qualifications Completion of the CVS Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader (PM‑EL) program. 3‑5 years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings. Ability to work in the home store and across the market as needed. Pay Range $65.00 – $85.00 per hour (full‑time). The base salary offer will depend on experience, education, geography, and other factors. Eligible for bonus, commission, or short‑term incentive programs.
