Diesel Road Mechanic
Jamaica, NY (JFK Airport) - Travel throughout NYC using company vehicle
$30-$36/hr
2nd Shift: 2:00 PM-10:30 PM (weekends as needed)
6-Month Contract-to-Hire | Union benefits upon permanent hire
Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain trucks and buses
• Perform inspections, oil changes, and preventative maintenance
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Complete service documentation and follow safety procedures

Requirements

• 4+ years of diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment mechanic experience
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience with engines, cooling systems, and vehicle electrical systems
• Valid driver's license with clean record
• Ability to obtain airport SIDA badge
• Comfortable traveling throughout the 5 boroughs

Preferred

• Cummins engine experience
• CDL or willingness to obtain one

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
