The Planning Manager is the focal point for all supply chain activities. The individual develops and implements long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues, production location decisions, etc. in support of business growth and sustainment. The Planning Manager supports execution of programs and coordination of new program/product launches. The Planning Manager monitors key performance indicators, analyzes performance data, and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.

The Planning Manager optimizes how supply chain management interfaces with manufacturing systems. The Planning Manager will plan, prepare, issue and control material requirements in conjunction with the production schedule. Planning Manager will support risk management activities impacting the value chain working with cross-functional teams. The Planning Manager ensures that shipments are accomplished to maintain contract/internal delivery commitments. The candidate will utilize system and process tools to achieve program/functional goals.

As a Planning Manager, this position requires that the candidate possess a strong understanding of procurement and planning process steps; the individual must be capable of troubleshooting process failures to ensure success for the program. In addition to executing programs the Planning Manager will lead and manage a team of Supply Chain professionals at various experience levels including but not limited to Manufacturing Production Control, Supply Chain Planning, and Logistic for assigned programs. Develop and maintain professional and dependable relationships with both internal and external customers.

The Planning Manager will assist in planning, developing, and executing corporate training and organizational development plan for Supply Chain Planning personnel. Other people manager responsibilities include but are not limited to: assessing staffing levels, hiring, terminating, coaching, disciplining and leading a diverse set of employees.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience
• Planning experience in a large multifaceted electronic manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with defense aerospace industry & regulations
• Significant ERP System Experience (Oracle, SAP, Other), inclusive of shop floor control systems
• Knowledge of Manufacturing processes
• Sales & Operations Experience / knowledge
• Inventory / stockroom management
• Project Management experience
• Ability to verbally and accurately report production status to program team or factory team
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Create presentation materials and give presentations to leadership team, production team, and customers
• Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Ability to analyze, react, and train on exceptions in MRP, especially around Bills of Material, Material Planning, Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders and ECOs. The individual would be proactive to reduce exceptions and may influence system change requests to the MRP system. Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Higher level education completed or in process.
• APICS or ISM certified
• Ability to implement Lean & Six Sigma process improvements
• Well versed with Oracle ERP system
• Root Cause/Corrective Action Skills
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in two or more of the following: Material Planning, Demand Planning, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Inventory Management, Rough Cut Capacity Planning, or Production Planning
• Familiarity with defense aerospace industry & regulations

Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $92180 - $156707 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
