Senior Data Analyst

Salary: $100,000 - 130,000 per year Requirements: We require 6+ years of experience in systems and/or business analytics. We require 5+ years of experience supervising or overseeing personnel. Responsibilities: We apply advanced mathematical, statistical, analytical, and operations research methods to complex program and organizational challenges. We assess program performance against established goals, objectives, and indicators, and translate findings into data-driven recommendations. We use optimization, data mining, statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, and related techniques to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness. We monitor data quality across program-related systems, including VAs Veterans Tracking Application and Joint Disability Evaluation System. We design processes to identify data-quality errors and coordinate notification and resolution with the appropriate Military Department, VA Veterans Benefits Administration, or DHA Solution Delivery Division personnel. We review current and proposed technical specifications, system capabilities, modifications, enhancements, hosting, management, and reporting for compliance with applicable requirements and accepted practices. We research and recommend IT strategies that support program objectives. We draft, support submission of, and monitor system change requests for Veterans Tracking Application and Joint Disability Evaluation System. We assist the DES Government Program Lead with user acceptance testing for Joint Disability Evaluation System and other program-associated systems. We analyze test results, document issues, and help validate system compliance with program requirements. We develop dashboards, reports, visualizations, and other decision-support products. We support data-driven process improvement and provide analytical recommendations to senior leadership.
