Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state
- Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and families
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for students
- Organizational skills to manage caseloads and track student progress effectively
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ needs and develop targeted intervention strategies to promote functional independence in school activities
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to integrate occupational therapy into students’ educational plans
- Provide direct therapy sessions in individual and group settings
- Maintain accurate documentation and report on student progress in accordance with school and legal requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams supporting student achievement
- Educate and consult with staff, parents, and guardians to ensure understanding and carryover of therapeutic recommendations in and out of the classroom
