About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC Must-Have: - Charge experience is preferred - Experience with patient ratios in emergency departments - Familiarity with Community Client charting systems - Experience in trauma level II or III environments is a plus - Ability to provide care for ventilated patients - Competence in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Skills in procedural sedation administration and monitoring - Experience in triage is beneficial Description: Registered Nurse needed for the Emergency Room. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. The shift will be night shifts working 3 out of 4 days a week. Staffing will include a patient ratio of 4:1 during all shifts. Floating within the facility and scope of practice may be needed as required. Travelers are expected to work major holidays if they fall during the assignment period. No call requirements for this position. Compliance is required for onboarding, with documentation due prior to the start. Interdisciplinary support services will be available, including physical therapy and pharmacy. A daily census of around 250 patients is expected. Additional unit information includes a focus on telemetry competencies and primary stroke care. Proficiency with special equipment, including ventilators and sedation devices, is required. This position provides the opportunity to enhance skills and work in a dynamic environment.
