Necessary Qualifications:

• Active Special Education teaching certification (SPED Cert) in Louisiana
• Previous experience working with students with diverse needs in a school setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, parents, and staff
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to individual learning styles

Position Details:

• Contract position starting as soon as possible and continuing through May 20, 2027
• Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
• Caseload details are currently being gathered to ensure the best fit and support
• Work directly with students requiring specialized instruction and help them reach their full potential

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Adapt lessons and materials for various learning capabilities
• Assess student progress and maintain proper documentation
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
