Location Plymouth Hospital Registered Nurse – Float Pool (Med Surg Telemetry) Position Details Contract guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly on all assignments – guaranteed hours exclude any on-call time worked. 12-hour night shifts, weekends, and holidays are expected. This is a float pool position; the nurse will float to all medical-surgical telemetry floors as needed. Candidates must pass a pass/fail ECG/Telemetry test and medications test during onboarding with only one attempt allowed. Dysrhythmia and medication tests are administered remotely via Zoom Protector meeting prior to assignment. Nurses are required to complete testing within 48 hours of offer. An 85% passing score is required with no opportunity for remediation or retake. Preparation is strongly recommended using the provided study guide containing tips and answers. The nurse will be expected to float to similar units and overflow areas as needed. Requirements Current Registered Nurse license. Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical telemetry experience. Ability to pass the telemetry competency exam. Current AHA BLS certification. Current AHA ACLS certification is required. Documented professional development activities. Knowledge of critical paths. Charge nurse experience is preferred. Additional Information Orientation sessions are held biweekly. Nurse manager will conduct interviews and extend offers.
