About the Role
The Company is seeking a Deputy General Counsel to join its legal, regulatory, and compliance leadership team. The successful candidate will be a senior executive with a focus on capital markets, strategic transactions, and corporate legal affairs. This role involves acting as a trusted advisor on a wide range of matters, including securities law compliance, public company reporting, M&A, and significant commercial arrangements. The Deputy General Counsel will also be responsible for leading legal support in capital markets activities, advising on SEC and NYSE requirements, and overseeing the legal aspects of M&A and strategic transactions. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school, be admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, and have over 15 years of relevant legal experience, with a strong background in securities law, public company reporting, and corporate governance. Applicants for the Deputy General Counsel position at the company should possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. A minimum of 15 years of legal experience, including significant time at a nationally recognized law firm and/or public company legal department, is required. The role demands deep expertise in securities law, public company reporting, and corporate governance, as well as significant experience in M&A and strategic transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong contract negotiation and drafting skills, the ability to advise senior executives and boards of directors, and experience in managing outside counsel and complex projects. Preferred qualifications include experience with international and cross-border transactions, familiarity with various governance structures, and prior leadership experience in managing legal teams.
