Staff Systems Engineer, Robotics

Stryker seeks a Staff Systems Engineer to lead systems engineering for robotic surgical end effectors and electromechanical components. This role translates clinical and user needs into system requirements, manages cross-disciplinary interfaces, and guides products through integration and verification on a medical robotics platform.
Responsibilities
- Own systems engineering activities for robotic end effectors and electromechanical subsystems
- Translate clinical, user, and product needs into verifiable system requirements and design inputs
- Develop system architectures, interfaces, and functional requirements across disciplines
- Lead technical trade studies, design assessments, and systems engineering activities
- Establish requirements traceability and develop verification strategies throughout development lifecycle
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline (Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Biomedical, or related)
- 4+ years of applicable engineering experience
- Experience developing or managing system requirements for complex products
- Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, software, systems, test)
- Experience developing medical devices or regulated products
- Systems architecture, requirements development, decomposition, and interface definition experience
- Knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and design controls
Compensation: $102,600 - $171,000 USD Annual
