Job Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed physical examinations and thorough reviews of medical history
• Assist in assessing and diagnosing surgical conditions through analysis of imaging studies and laboratory results
• Work hand-in-hand with surgeons to develop and implement patient-specific surgical plans
• Provide essential intraoperative assistance, including preparing operating rooms, ensuring correct patient positioning, and efficiently passing surgical instruments
• Deliver outstanding pre-operative and post-operative care, which includes administering medications, attending to wound care, planning discharges, and educating patients

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations with a particular focus on surgery is highly preferred

Required Certifications

• Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
