Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (Full-Time, On-Site)

We're seeking an Inside Sales & Commercial Support Representative to join our growing team in the Dayton area. In this role, you'll serve as a critical link between customers, outside sales representatives, and internal departments, ensuring accurate quotations, efficient order processing, exceptional customer service, and seamless commercial support.

What You'll Do

Customer Service & Inside Sales Support

• Deliver exceptional customer service through timely and accurate support

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to pricing, quotations, orders, delivery schedules, and commercial terms

• Build strong customer relationships that drive satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business

• Provide proactive updates regarding order status, lead times, quotations, and issue resolution

• Handle customer requests professionally, accurately, and with urgency

Quote Management & Sales Support

• Prepare and issue quotations for parts, tooling, components, equipment, and related products

• Validate pricing and ensure alignment with established commercial guidelines

• Coordinate with engineering, operations, purchasing, and other departments to obtain technical information, specifications, and lead times

• Track outstanding quotations and follow up to support quote conversion and revenue growth

• Support outside sales representatives throughout the sales process

Order Management & Commercial Operations

• Enter and process customer orders accurately within ERP systems

• Monitor open orders, backlog reports, and delivery commitments

• Communicate proactively regarding delays, lead times, and customer expectations

• Support pricing consistency and margin objectives

• Identify and escalate pricing discrepancies, commercial concerns, and non-standard requests

• Maintain accurate CRM records, customer information, and sales activity documentation

Professional Development

• Develop technical product knowledge and commercial expertise

• Participate in customer meetings and sales activities when appropriate

• Build consultative selling, relationship management, and business development skills

• Complete ongoing training designed to prepare high performers for expanded sales responsibilities

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• Experience in Inside Sales, Customer Service, Sales Support, Commercial Support, Order Management, Customer Success, or Sales Operations

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Customer-focused mindset with a consultative approach

• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional follow-through

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word

• Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and teams

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or a related field

• Experience with ERP and CRM systems

• Background in manufacturing, industrial, engineering, technical, or B2B environments

• Experience preparing quotations, processing orders, or supporting sales teams

• Ability to interpret technical drawings, prints, or specifications

• Previous experience in Technical Sales, Customer Support, or Commercial Operations
