As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Agent in Chicago, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal in a dynamic educational location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this unarmed role, you will support a welcoming environment through routine patrols, teamwork, and integrity while bringing an agile, reliable, and innovative approach to each shift.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within an education-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while supporting staff, students, and guests.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, classrooms, common areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor and staff movement to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations within the location.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or maintenance-related concerns and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A current guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
