Salesforce DeveloperUnder the direction of a supervisor in the Office of Information Technology at the New Jersey Department of Education, this position will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions in Salesforce and integration solutions between Salesforce and other external systems. The candidate will liaison with different program offices, evaluate user requests, document functional and non-functional requirements, architect, develop and deploy solutions and ensure that the systems meet the desired specifications.Experience:Senior level resource with specialized knowledge & experience in application development (requirement gathering, analysis, design, development, testing & implementation) with emphasis on Salesforce.com, OO programming & Client Server.(7)+ years of experience in application development activities including requirement gathering, analysis, design, development, testing and implementation with emphasis on Salesforce, Force.com, object oriented programming, and Client Server technologies.Experience in the Salesforce declarative environmentHands-on experience with Salesforce configuration experienceSalesforce Developer or Admin track certificationsAbility to communicate ideas, concepts, and strategies to both technical and non-technical peopleAbility to think outside of the box and design innovative solutionsDocument application specifications and solutions to satisfy project requirements.Identify and evaluate vendor/partner software and integration strategies.Develop and code solutions to specification.Ability to define the system landscape, to identify gaps between current and desired end-states and deliver a solutionAbility to lead design sessions and communicate design options to clientsIdentify and implement appropriate testing strategies.Execute all steps required to deploy/implement the application solution.Participate in a self directed team environment. Collaborate with project team members and QA on development, customer issues, and security requirements.Experience with Salesforce Web Services APIs - Force.com SOAP and REST-based Web Service APIs, the Bulk API, and the Metadata API STRONGLY PREFERRED.Agile development experienceExperience in Java, J2EE, Struts, JSP, JavascriptRequirements:Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in a related technical field.
