We're looking for the next best candidate to work with the head of accounting.
The Bookkeeper II role will be intimately involved in moving the company forward with more aggressive and comprehensive accounting cycle procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Prepare, compile and sort documents for data entry
- Review and Journal invoices
- Retrieve and Journal payroll data
- Retrieve and format information for data analysis presentations
- Make bank deposits
- Bank reconciliations
- Participate in reconciling trial balances and preparing closing entries
- Working knowledge of mid-size to large business bookkeeping preferred.
- Experience with Quickbooks, preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, preferred.
- Associates degree in Accounting or related field, required. Bachelor's degree, preferred.
- At least 1 year of bookkeeping and/or data entry experience.
- Experience with an HRIS/ payroll system a plus.
- Basic understanding of payroll taxes a plus.
