Regional Business Development Manager - Specialty Construction

This is not a typical sales job

We don't want someone who makes an introduction and hands the opportunity to somebody else. You'll own it end to end: find it, understand it, estimate it, sell it, help plan it, and stay with it through delivery.

What you'll do

· Develop new business across Louisiana and the Gulf Coast — general contractors, EPCs, industrial owners, engineers, DOTs and municipalities

· Get on jobsites, into plants and in front of customers long before projects reach the bid stage

· Review drawings and specifications, perform takeoffs, and build estimates and proposals with Operations

· Present technical solutions and value engineering; negotiate scope, pricing and expectations

· Stay involved after award — protect schedule, customer satisfaction and profitability

· Maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast in our CRM

Who we're looking for

You might be a project manager who is great with customers, an estimator ready to get out from behind the desk, a construction salesperson with real technical ability, or a field leader ready to move into a customer-facing role. We care more about capability, character and drive than the title on your resume.

You'll fit here if you're curious about how things work, comfortable with a superintendent in the field and an executive in a conference room, competitive without putting yourself ahead of the team, willing to ask for the business and organized enough to follow through — and if you understand that revenue without profit is not winning.

This probably isn't the right job if you want a comfortable territory where existing customers call in orders, if you don't want to understand the technical side of the work, or if you're a high producer who damages the people around you. We will not trade our culture for revenue.

Experience

· 5+ years in commercial, industrial, heavy civil, infrastructure or specialty construction (8+ preferred)

· 3+ years in construction sales/business development, estimating, project management, or a combination

· Industrial, petrochemical, refining, power, heavy civil, marine, concrete or specialty demolition experience strongly preferred

· CRM, Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft 365 or similar estimating and construction technology a plus

· A degree is welcome; relationships, technical ability and demonstrated results matter more

Territory

Based in Baton Rouge, covering Louisiana and the surrounding Gulf Coast, with occasional travel as opportunities require. This is a customer-facing role — you'll be out of the office and in the construction community.
