Leasing Consultant (TX)The Leasing Consultant is responsible for being a primary contact for residents and prospective residents by leasing apartments, coordinating resident activities and building and maintaining resident relations. A strong background in customer service is extremely helpful, as is experience in sales although individuals with an excellent attitude and willingness to learn will be given consideration. Some weekend and early evening shifts are required.Key Responsibilities:Maintain a professional and friendly atmosphere in the leasing office and other areas where prospective residents meet.Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner.Inspect models and make ready vacancies daily to ensure cleanliness.Answer incoming phone calls and handle each call whether it is a prospect call, irate resident, service request, etc. Transfer calls to Assistant Manager or Manager when appropriate.Greet prospective residents, qualify and determine their needs and preferences, professionally present the community and specific apartment(s) while pointing out features and benefits.Process rental applications, verify employment and previous rental history, and notify prospective residents of results.Complete all lease paperwork including related addendums.Accept rent and deposits. Provide receipt upon request.Visually inspect property when on grounds, pick up litter and report any service needs to Manager.Maintain awareness of local market conditions and trends. Contribute ideas to the Manager for marketing the property and for improving resident retention.Perform outreach marketing as needed.Inventory office supplies on a weekly basis.
