RETS Associates has been retained by a rapidly growing, institutionally backed industrial real estate developer to recruit a Development Associate in Phoenix.

This is far more than a technical underwriting role. While strong financial modeling, analytical skills, and development acumen are required, the firm is ultimately making an EQ hire as much as an IQ hire . Culture, character, judgment, accountability, and leadership potential will carry just as much weight as technical capabilities.

Working directly alongside senior leadership, this individual will gain exposure to the full development lifecycle-from acquisitions and underwriting through capitalization, construction, leasing, and stabilization-while helping execute a growing pipeline of industrial projects across the Southwest and beyond.

The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of commercial real estate experience , strong Excel and underwriting skills, and the ability to think critically rather than simply generate analysis. Equally important, they will be outgoing, relationship-oriented, intellectually curious, humble, and possess a genuine desire to grow into a future leadership role.

Compensation: $120,000-$140,000 base + target bonus (~30%) + potential long-term incentive participation
