Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments utilizing evidence-based tools to evaluate clients’ mental health and substance use concerns, pinpointing co-occurring disorders.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, utilizing therapeutic modalities that are evidence-driven to address needs in mental health and addiction recovery.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions, helping clients cultivate vital skills such as emotional regulation, coping strategies, and relapse prevention.

• Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate integrated care approaches that enhance treatment effectiveness.

• Engage in regular monitoring of clients' substance use, employing motivational interviewing techniques to encourage progress and accountability in their recovery journey.

• Educate clients and their families on the interaction between mental health and substance use, emphasizing the significance of adherence to treatment protocols.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and interventions as per ethical and legal standards, ensuring compliance and continuity of care.

• Participate actively in case conferences, staff meetings, and relevant training opportunities to improve skills related to co-occurring disorder treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on supporting a diverse array of clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Clients may range from those newly seeking treatment to individuals managing long-term challenges, fostering a rich and varying landscape for therapeutic engagement.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Massachusetts.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic practices, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Strong understanding of the complexities surrounding mental health and substance use disorders.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary treatment team.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of two years of direct experience in mental health counseling is required, preferably working with clients facing co-occurring disorders. Experience in integrated care settings and familiarity with clinical documentation and care coordination will be considered advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
