Senior Scientist I, Drug Delivery Sciences and Engineering

Senior Scientist I position focused on designing and executing laboratory studies for innovative drug delivery systems. The role involves developing formulations for small molecules and biologics, applying expertise in chemistry, polymer science, and pharmaceutical characterization while collaborating across functions.

Responsibilities

Design, execute, analyze, and document laboratory studies for novel drug delivery systems and enabling formulations
Develop and optimize delivery approaches for small molecules and biologics with emphasis on sustained, controlled, or targeted delivery
Characterize formulations using analytical methods including HPLC, ELISA, DSC, FTIR, GPC/SEC, and particle-size analysis
Represent team on cross-functional projects and communicate study plans, results, risks, and recommendations clearly
Monitor advances in drug delivery technologies and identify opportunities to introduce new capabilities or workflows

Requirements

Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or related discipline with 0–4 years relevant experience
Strong scientific foundation in drug delivery, formulation science, protein science, polymer science, or biomaterials
Ability to independently design experiments, troubleshoot challenges, and analyze data critically
Hands-on experience with pharmaceutical formulation and analytical or biophysical characterization methods
Strong written and verbal communication skills for multidisciplinary audiences
Cross-functional collaboration capability and ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
