Senior Ultrasound Technologist

Description Performs a variety of sonographic examinations in OB/GYN, abdominal, and small parts. Includes assisting the radiologist during invasive procedures, abdominal Doppler studies of the liver and liver transplants, Nuchal Translucency studies, and neonatal cranial exams. Requires one additional certification for sonographer 2 status (Breast, Vascular, Neurosonography, MSK, Pediatrics, Fetal Echo, Nuchal translucency or Neonatal specialty). Makes a clinical judgment of the patient's condition based on information from the referring physician, medical records, patient interview, and personal assessment. Responsibilities Perform a range of sonographic examinations including OB/GYN, abdominal, and small parts. Assist radiologist during invasive procedures. Conduct abdominal Doppler studies of liver and liver transplant patients. Perform Nuchal Translucency studies and neonatal cranial exams. Make clinical judgments of patient conditions using available data. Required Qualifications Successful completion of ultrasound training program; education sufficient to meet ARDMS registry exam eligibility. National Registered Technologist – Sonography or National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire. National Provider BLS from American Heart Association upon hire. At least 2 years experience as a sonographer.
