Senior Accountant

Founded in 1985, Prijems is an established wholesale manufacturer and supplier of diamonds and gemstones, specializing in unique and custom-manufactured diamonds for jewelry designers, manufacturers, and wholesale clients. About the Role Prijems is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations. This is a hands‑on position for someone with a strong accounting background who can work independently and take ownership of their responsibilities with minimal guidance. Strong proficiency in QuickBooks is required. Candidates should be highly comfortable navigating and managing accounting functions within QuickBooks without software training. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting and maintain accurate financial records Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries Support month‑end and year‑end close Prepare financial statements and management reports Assist with inventory accounting and reconciliations Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies Coordinate with management, CPA, tax professionals, and other outside parties Help improve accounting processes and internal controls Qualifications Several years of hands‑on professional accounting experience Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks – required Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, AP/AR, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Preferred Experience Experience in the diamond, gemstone, jewelry, wholesale, or manufacturing industry Inventory accounting or product costing experience Previous supervisory or managerial accounting experience We are looking for an experienced accounting professional who can contribute from day one .
