What You'll Do You'll lead the day-to-day accounting function while serving as a trusted financial partner to leadership. Responsibilities include: Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process Prepare accurate GAAP‑compliant financial statements Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting Supervise a team of three accounting professionals (AP/AR) Coordinate audits and work closely with external accounting and tax partners Partner with operations to improve inventory accounting and financial processes Assist with ERP and accounting system integration initiatives across multiple business entities Develop and strengthen internal controls and reporting processes Collaborate with the Controller supporting the Chicago operation to deliver consolidated financial reporting Provide financial analysis and recommendations to leadership What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA preferred Approximately 5‑7+ years of progressive accounting experience Previous experience as an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or Controller Strong understanding of GAAP and month‑end close Comfortable working in a hands‑on environment where no task is beneath you Experience leading or mentoring accounting staff Naturally curious, proactive, and willing to ask questions Manufacturing, distribution, inventory, or private equity experience is helpful but not required The Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who is: Ready for the next step in their career Excited to learn and grow alongside an experienced CFO Process‑minded and enjoys making things better Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with day‑to‑day accounting work Collaborative, humble, and eager to jump in wherever needed If you happen to love cars, hot rods, racing, or classic vehicles—that's an added bonus—but it's certainly not required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
