Operator I Medical Device Assembly

We are seeking Operator I candidates to join a leading medical device manufacturing team in Minnetonka, MN. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on assembly work in a fast-paced, quality-focused manufacturing environment.

Note:

• These positions require a 7th-grade reading and comprehension level.
• Candidates with a Bachelor's degree will be considered overqualified for this Operator I position.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and repetitive assembly operations under direct supervision.
• Follow written work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate production, quality, and traceability documentation.
• Inspect components and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Handle and assemble small components with attention to detail.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment as required.
• Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot basic production issues and communicate concerns to supervisors.
• Work effectively in a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Support Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
• Represent the company professionally during facility tours and interactions.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic data collection systems.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for handling small parts.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions in a production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6+ months of experience in a medical device, manufacturing, assembly, or other regulated production environment preferred.
• Experience working in a cleanroom or quality-controlled manufacturing environment is a plus.
