We are looking for an HR Generalist to support a retail organization in Cincinnati, Ohio through a Long-term Contract opportunity. This role will serve as a key resource for employees and managers by helping maintain accurate HR processes, supporting benefits and leave administration, and contributing to a positive workplace experience. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, comfort with HR systems, and the ability to balance compliance responsibilities with employee support.

Responsibilities:
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving employee records, payroll details, benefit enrollments, and agency-related documentation to help maintain accurate and compliant HR data.
• Coordinate workers’ compensation cases and support leave administration, including FMLA and other legally required time-off programs, while helping ensure adherence to applicable policies and regulations.
• Respond to employee questions related to health, wellness, and other benefit offerings, providing clear guidance to help team members understand available programs.
• Contribute to the evaluation and rollout of additional benefit offerings or workplace perks designed to strengthen employee engagement and overall satisfaction.
• Partner with supervisors and leaders on routine employee relations matters, offering practical guidance on performance concerns, workplace issues, and conflict resolution.
• Help create a productive and respectful work environment by addressing concerns in a timely manner and supporting initiatives that improve the employee experience.
• Assist in promoting HR programs and practices that encourage consistency, efficiency, and a collaborative workplace culture.
• Utilize HR technology platforms such as Workday, ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, or Dayforce to support reporting, documentation, and day-to-day HR operations.• 3-5 years of experience in human resources, employee relations, benefits administration, or a closely related HR function.
• Entry-level candidates with a strong interest in human resources and a willingness to learn may also be considered.
• Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships across teams and provide effective employee coaching and support.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters tactfully.
• Proficiency with HR systems and business software, including experience with platforms such as Workday, ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, or Dayforce.
• Working knowledge of compliance practices related to leave administration, benefits, payroll coordination, and employee records management.
• Familiarity with workers’ compensation processes, FMLA, and other mandated leave requirements is preferred.
