Maintains work schedule as assigned. Accepts work assignments. Overtime: before and after shift, weekend, holiday, and emergency response Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the work of one or more Building Attendant II and inspect completed work. Provide basic instructions and maintain clear two-way communication Administrative: Prepare documents such as key logs, security logs, time reports, FAMIS, incident reports, inspection reports, supply orders, and training records. Meet deadlines and perform accurate work. Notify supervisor of concerns and perform coaching as needed Quality Assurance: Ensure services and event set-ups are delivered per instructions and schedule. Conduct inspections, document findings, and report maintenance and custodial issues. Respond to customer complaints Safety and Compliance: Use PPE, maintain safety practices, report unsafe conditions, and operate custodial equipment safely Security: Secure buildings and rooms on schedule and/or after cleaning. Follow key control procedures and carry UT ID at all times Emergency cleaning and related duties as assigned Qualifications Required Qualifications: Experience following basic work instructions. One year of experience in custodial, environmental services, hospitality, warehouse, production or facilities maintenance. Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. Ability to read and write work materials and follow written instructions. Desire to work on a team. Stable work history. Must have a reliable means of communicating with the department outside of work by phone. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications High school graduation or GED. More than two years custodial experience in custodial, hospitality, environmental services, warehouse, production or facilities maintenance. Some experience in supervising, training, inspecting and scheduling custodial work. OSI1 experience. Successful completion of the OS1 Comprehensive Certification Program. Driving This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing. Working Conditions Environment and Physical Demands: Uniforms and/or personal protection equipment (furnished) May work in all weather conditions; may work around chemical fumes May work around standard office conditions or bio-hazards May work around chemicals, electrical and mechanical hazards Occasional exposure to blood borne pathogens Use of backpack vacuum and standard custodial equipment Physical tasks: manual dexterity; climbing stairs and ladders; lifting and moving up to 50 lbs; push/pull up to 50 lbs; continuous standing and walking Additional Working Conditions: Use of personal protective equipment; safety footwear provided and required; exposure to blood borne pathogens Work Schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Overtime required with little or no notice.
