Trillium Professional is now seeking a Surgical Coordinator in Brighton, MA (100% Onsite) for a short-term need!

Duration: August 17, 2026 – October 9, 2026 (Approx. 8 weeks).

Seeking a Surgical Coordinator to support a busy Gastroenterology department. This individual will coordinate outpatient and applicable inpatient surgical procedures, appointments, and diagnostic testing while serving as the primary liaison between patients, physicians, and clinical staff. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient scheduling, insurance verification, accurate documentation, and an exceptional patient experience while supporting the daily operations of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures, pre-operative appointments, and follow-up visits.
• Schedule required diagnostic testing and secure all necessary clinical documentation.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations as needed.
• Maintain surgical schedules, logs, and patient records.
• Communicate with patients, physicians, hospital departments, and outside facilities regarding scheduling and procedures.
• Enter patient demographic and procedure information into the electronic health record.
• Review scheduling documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Handle add-on cases, emergency schedule changes, and rescheduling needs.
• Assist with front desk coverage, incoming calls, mail distribution, and other administrative duties as needed.
• Prepare reports and maintain departmental records.

Pay rate is $25.39/hour.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous healthcare scheduling or medical office experience.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorization processes.
• Experience using electronic health record systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athena.
