What we’re looking for:

• Licensure as a Physical Therapist in New York
• Familiarity working with school-aged children
• Experience with students with coradical visual and hearing impairments and low cognitive ability
• Understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and adapted physical therapy interventions
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Empathy, patience, and flexibility in service delivery

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct two 30-minute physical therapy sessions weekly at the district building
• Provide direct, individualized interventions aligned with the student’s unique needs and goals
• Assess, monitor, and document progress in mobility, motor skills, and functional movement
• Collaborate with caregivers, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to support holistic development
• Adjust therapy plans as needed to ensure student engagement and measurable improvement
• Maintain regular, clear communication regarding progress and strategies
