Desktop Support Technician II

Immediate need for a talented Desktop Support Technician II. This is a 06+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Boston, MA (Onsite).

Pay Range: $30 - $31/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level II deskside support for Windows desktops, laptops, Microsoft 365, applications, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, printer, scanner, and mobile device issues.
• Image, configure, deploy, refresh, and maintain IT devices and asset inventory.
• Support manufacturing technology, label printers, RF devices, conference rooms, and site systems.
• Provide Smart Hands support for network equipment, switches, wireless, cabling, racks, and infrastructure projects.
• Manage incidents and service requests through ticketing systems, maintaining accurate documentation and meeting SLAs.
• Coordinate with remote IT/network teams and provide excellent customer service to end users and site leadership.
• Follow security, safety, and operational standards while identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience

• Key Skills: Desktop Support, Windows 10/11, Hardware Troubleshooting, Printer & Peripheral Support, Ticketing Systems, Asset Management
• 3+ years of experience in desktop, deskside, field, or Level II IT support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with ServiceNow or a similar IT ticketing system.
• Understanding of TCP/IP and basic networking fundamentals.
• Experience troubleshooting printers, peripherals, scanners, and mobile devices.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Previous experience supporting users in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience with Zebra or similar label printers.
• Knowledge of network switches, wireless infrastructure, and Smart Hands support.
• Experience with IT asset management and hardware lifecycle programs.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or equivalent technical certification.
