This newly created role is ideal for a finance leader who can operate strategically while remaining willing to roll up their sleeves. The Deputy CFO will take ownership of key initiatives, strengthen accountability across the team, improve processes, and ensure critical projects get across the finish line.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the CFO's key partner and second-in-command across financial, operational, and strategic initiatives.
• Take ownership of projects and responsibilities currently hitting the CFO's desk and drive them through completion.
• Lead and develop the finance team, establishing accountability and ensuring priorities and deadlines are met.
• Identify gaps in accounting and financial processes and implement sustainable improvements.
• Analyze financial results, costs, margins, and profitability to identify issues and opportunities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, operational analysis, executive reporting, and special projects.
• Partner across the organization to resolve financial and operational issues and improve business performance.

Ideal Candidate

• Progressive finance leadership experience at the Controller, Director of Finance, VP Finance, or similar level.
• Strong accounting, FP&A, and operational finance foundation.
• Manufacturing and cost accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead teams while remaining highly hands-on.
• Strong Excel, ERP, financial analysis, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives and drive projects to completion.
• Comfortable challenging assumptions, holding others accountable, and improving processes.
