In this role, you will be overseeing the day-to-day operations of Yoshoku, ( reporting to the Restaurant General Manager and overseeing 15 Front of House Team Members.
This role requires knowledge of Japanese cuisine, culture and a strong beverage knowledge, specifically in Sake and Japanese spirits. The ideal candidate will bring at least 1-2 years of restaurant experience. Experience working in a Forbes rated and unionized environment is strong preferred.
Find our Yoshoku restaurant through the Park Avenue entrance of the hotel, where an a la cart menu reinterprets traditional Japanese culinary practices through a contemporary lens. A refined Wagashi tea service will be available in the afternoon.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
Support seamless operations: Assist in managing daily food and beverage operations, including guest service, quality control, inventory, reservations, marketing, and reporting
Enhance guest satisfaction and service excellence: Assist with the development and implementation of guest satisfaction strategies, monitoring trends, gathering feedback, and driving continuous improvements to elevate the guest experience
Deliver consistent quality: Ensure food presentation meets high standards and monitor cost and portion controls to maximize value
Support team performance and development: Assist in supervising and developing team members by providing training, scheduling, feedback and recognition to foster a positive and productive work environment
Uphold regulatory standards: Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member wellbeing #LI-JP2
The ideal candidate must be an exceptional leader with a passion for creating extraordinary experiences, a talent for training and developing others, and experienced in all aspects of restaurant operations (ex. financial performance, social media reputation, local market capture, and employee relations). At least 2 years of restaurant management experience in an upscale dining environment is required. Experience in a luxurious cocktail environment, strong beverage knowledge and managing a unionized work environment is preferred.
