Job Description Summary Nationwide Realty Investors, the real estate development affiliate of Nationwide, owns and manages a portfolio of communities in the city’s premier locations (Arena District/Grandview Yard). Our team of apartment managers and leasing agents is passionate about providing exceptional, high‑touch customer service to residents and prospects, building rapport with residents, and increasing retention in the communities they serve. As a Leasing Consultant, you'll establish relationships with prospective tenants, answer questions accurately, process necessary paperwork, arrange property viewings, maintain current tenant relationships, and encourage renewal by addressing repair needs. Key Responsibilities Handles phone inquiries and meets company goals for appointment conversion. Greets and qualifies prospects by covering all criteria. Inspects models and available units every day. Communicates related service needs to maintenance supervisor. Updates availability report and processes applications for approvals (e.g., credit check, rental history). Submits processed applications to the Senior Property Manager for approval and follows up with applicants regarding status. Demonstrates product knowledge to prospects for all communities, communicates and sells features and benefits, and closes the sale. Secures new resident’s signatures on appropriate paperwork prior to move‑in and orients new residents to the community. Answers questions for residents about community, repairs, rent, rules, etc. Prepares lease, completes appropriate paperwork and gives it to the Financial Administration Manager for input. Other Responsibilities May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Reporting Relationships Reports to Senior Property Manager. Typical Skills And Experiences Education High school diploma. License/Designation/Certification Apartment Management Designation such as National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP) preferred. Experience Prior leasing or sales experience required. Knowledge, Abilities and Skills Understand(s) and aligns with fair housing laws as well as state landlord‑tenant law. Strong customer service, marketing, closing, strong communication, and ability to self‑direct. Leadership skills, competencies, and experiences may take precedence. Job Conditions Overtime Eligibility: Non‑Exempt (Eligible) Working Conditions: Normal office environment and some weekends.
