Registered Nurse (RN) - Rehab and Med/Surg Float

Day Shift: 7 AM to 7 PM

Experience Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required.

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Job Description

In this role, the primary responsibility will be working in the Rehabilitation unit, with the requirement to float to Medical/Surgical units as needed. The Registered Nurse will provide exceptional nursing care and support the organization's mission and values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care and implement treatment plans as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
• Document comprehensive clinical care plans and patient information during each shift.
• Communicate effectively to ensure continuity and safety of patient care through bedside shift reports and multidisciplinary rounds.
• Maintain compliance with unit-specific competencies and complete all required learning modules in a timely manner.
• Foster a positive work atmosphere and culture of well-being among team members.
• Provide a safe environment for patients and colleagues while adhering to established protocols.
• Identify and assist in resolving safety issues related to patient care.
• Participate in daily unit safety huddles and remain informed on nurse-sensitive indicators.
• Engage in quality initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with nursing colleagues across various departments and assist where needed.
• Participate in the preceptor program for new nurses and contribute to the development of nursing students.
• Demonstrate commitment to shared governance and provide support in problem-solving roles.
• Manage time off and shift schedules per policy.

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire.
• Basic Dysrhythmia knowledge preferred, or required to be obtained before the completion of orientation.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred, or required to be obtained before the completion of orientation.
