Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse will provide exceptional patient care in a 27-bed General Medicine Unit, catering to a diverse range of medical conditions affecting the respiratory, endocrine, cardiac, immune/infectious disease, and renal systems. This role includes night shifts with a focus on providing high-quality nursing care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Shift and Scheduling

Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
Hours: Options for 36 or 48 hours per week
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Every other weekend required
Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
Time off approval for up to 40 hours
Note: Time off cannot be approved around the Christmas holiday

Qualifications

Current Virginia nursing license (can submit with license pending)
Epic experience required
BLS and ACLS certification preferred, but not required
Must adhere to the float policy

Key Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for:

Assessing and monitoring patient conditions
Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
Collaborating with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
Educating patients and families about health management and disease prevention
Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
