Accounting Business Partner

Based in our Houston, TX location, the Accounting Business Partner is responsible for providing accounting & financial support to business divisions by demonstrating their accounting expertise to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and controls. This role partners closely with various departments to drive financial performance, enhance business processes, and support decision-making with accurate and timely financial information! This includes partnering with other functional areas.In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:Partnering with NA Senior Finance Leader & Global Financial Services (GFS) Controller on monthly close and Journal Entry reviewPerforming specific monthly, quarterly and annual general accounting processes, not centralize in GFSCollaborating with business and department leaders to provide guidance on Corporate Policies & Procedures (CP&Ps) and answer accounting questionsPartnering with other functions to ensure accuracy of financial statementsEnsuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies and partner with Compliance Director on specific projects and quarterly ICQ reviews.Supporting the preparation of statutory and regulatory filings, coordinating with internal and external auditors and Tax as requiredSupporting the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statementsReviewing Balance Sheet Reconciliations to ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptlyLeading the preparation of financial statements and assist with management reportsFinding opportunities to streamline business unit accounting processes and improve efficiencyLeading or participating in cross-functional projects to enhance financial systems, reporting tools, and proceduresProviding training and guidance to non-finance staff on financial processes, CP&Ps and standard methodologiesActing as a coach to junior accounting staff, supporting their development and growthWho You Are:You integrate quantitative and qualitative information to draw accurate conclusions and take direct action.
