Compensation

• $140,000 – $180,000 Base Salary

About the Opportunity

A rapidly growing, private equity-backed exterior services platform is seeking an experienced commercial roofing executive to lead operations across its Commercial Roofing and New Construction divisions.

This highly visible leadership role reports directly to executive leadership and offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence, profitability, safety, project execution, and team development across a growing organization. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the future of the business while helping expand commercial roofing capabilities and support strategic growth initiatives across multiple markets.

This position offers significant upward mobility, including the opportunity to influence operations across future acquisitions and help establish best practices throughout an expanding platform of roofing businesses.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Lead all production operations across commercial roofing and new construction projects.
• Oversee project execution from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Manage and develop operations leaders, project managers, superintendents, field personnel, and support staff.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and accountability measures to drive operational performance and continuous improvement.
• Optimize workforce planning, resource allocation, equipment utilization, and subcontractor management.
• Partner with estimating and finance teams to improve project profitability, risk management, and operational efficiency.
• Foster a culture centered on safety, quality, accountability, and operational excellence.

Strategic Growth & Business Development

• Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute growth strategies.
• Support business development initiatives by providing operational expertise during customer pursuits and key account relationships.
• Identify opportunities to expand service offerings, geographic reach, and market share.
• Implement scalable processes and systems that support continued growth.

Platform Leadership

• Serve as a key operational leader within a rapidly growing acquisition-focused organization.
• Help establish and implement best practices that can be leveraged across multiple roofing businesses.
• Participate in acquisition integration efforts, operational assessments, and capability development initiatives.
• Evaluate opportunities to expand commercial roofing and new construction capabilities across affiliated companies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial roofing operations.
• Proven success leading large-scale commercial roofing and/or new construction operations.
• Strong understanding of project management, field operations, scheduling, labor management, safety programs, and job costing.
• Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
• Experience managing operational performance, profitability, and P&L responsibilities.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, growth-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience overseeing multiple locations, regions, or business units.
• Background supporting mergers, acquisitions, or business integrations.
• Experience contributing to strategic growth initiatives and market expansion efforts.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Location

The ideal candidate will be based on California's Central Coast, particularly during the first year, although relocation assistance may be available for the right individual. Ideally in Oxnard, Ventura, Santa Maria, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara areas.
