Academic Addiction Medicine PhysicianCooper University Health Care (CUHC) is seeking an academic addiction medicine physician to join our growing addiction medicine division.Cooper addiction medicine division is an interdisciplinary, medical specialty program within our university healthcare setting. Our division provides both inpatient and outpatient specialty care for individuals struggling with substance use disorders through a variety of programs including:Hospital consultation serviceInpatient detoxification/stabilization and residential programsEmergency department and hospital bridge programsCommunity paramedicine and field buprenorphine initiationJail transition careOutpatient group and specialty medical visitsA low barrier walk-in clinicA wrap-around perinatal SUD programDual diagnosis psychiatric and addiction medical careIntegrated addiction and infectious disease care including HIV and hepatitis C treatmentOther innovative community workWe run several clinical innovation, education, and research programs.The successful candidate should have a strong desire to shape the delivery of substance use disorder care and be versed in urban underserved care and harm reduction. This physician would report to the division head of addiction medicine and would have an academic appointment at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University.Board certified or board eligible in addiction medicine or addiction psychiatry.Preferred: completed fellowship in addiction medicine.MD or DO from an accredited institution.Active medical license.Innovative spirit in the clinical setting, superior teamwork with interdisciplinary collaborative approach, desire to work with underserved populations.Salary Min: USD $117.79Salary Max: USD $163.00
