Production Controller 3

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary
Coordinates and monitors production activities to maintain efficient workflow, resolve material and scheduling issues, and support daily production requirements. Works across Production, Planning, Supply Chain, Inventory Control, and Quality to address constraints and changing priorities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor production schedules, workflow, move times, and priorities to support daily output requirements.
• Work with supervisors and production personnel to identify and resolve workflow and scheduling issues.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Planning, and Inventory Control to identify material shortages and expedite production needs.
• Monitor material availability and recommend production sequence or firing-order adjustments as needed.
• Prioritize sub-assembly activities to ensure parts are available when required for production.
• Coordinate with Quality/MRB and Planning to resolve nonconformances, defects, and rework affecting production flow.
• Update work orders for rework requirements and maintain revision control of shop-floor documentation.
• Provide production status, shortage, and workflow updates to management.
• Support continuous improvement of shop-floor production flow and efficiency.
• Perform Production Planner duties as needed and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent and 3 years of related Production Control, Planning, or Expediting experience .
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Epicor experience preferred .
• Strong organizational, prioritization, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret work instructions, procedures, production information, and related documentation.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments.
• Ability to manage changing priorities, production constraints, and time-sensitive requirements.
• Successful completion of required pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
Work is performed in a typical manufacturing environment and frequently requires standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing, with sufficient close vision to perform assigned duties.
