About the Position
We are seeking a Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive patient care with a primary focus on chronic pain management in Grangeville, ID.
The provider will diagnose, treat, consult & follow up with patients while working collaboratively with a supervising physician and multidisciplinary clinical team. The role emphasizes continuity of care, patient education, care coordination & a patient centered medical home approach.
• Diagnose & treat acute, chronic & long term healthcare conditions
• Focus primarily on chronic pain management
• Conduct patient evaluations & develop treatment plans
• Provide follow up & continuity of care
• Address disease prevention & health promotion needs
• Educate patients & families regarding medical conditions, medications & preventive care
• Lead & collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical team
• Coordinate care & community resources for patients with complex medical needs
• Participate in case management & quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain timely & accurate EHR documentation
• Support accurate medical records & billing procedures
• Assist with development & revision of clinical procedures
• Maintain current clinical knowledge through education & training
• Provide direction to clinical staff regarding patient care
• Attend Medical Staff meetings
• Participate in Medical Staff committees & peer review
• Participate in performance improvement & quality initiatives
• Maintain required EHR competency
Requirements
• Current unrestricted Idaho Physician Assistant license
• Current BLS certification required
• Current unrestricted DEA certificate
• Controlled Substance Certificate from the Board of Pharmacy
• ACLS certification preferred
• Ability to maintain required medical staff privileges
• Strong clinical assessment & patient management skills
• Excellent communication & teamwork skills
