Orthopedic Rehabilitation Physical Therapist - Full-Time

Position Overview

Muscular Movement Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to join our team at our home care facility in Zephyrhills, Florida. This full-time position is designed for professionals who are passionate about helping patients regain mobility and achieve their highest performance levels. In this role, you will focus on enhancing patients' mobility capacities through various stages, including promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, intervention, and rehabilitation.

Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, where you will be interacting directly with patients in their homes. You will work a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm. Our home care setting allows for personalized and hands-on interactions that enhance the rehabilitation process. You will have access to all necessary resources, tools, and support needed to excel in your role.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to recognize and fulfill the individual objectives and requirements of each patient.
• Maintain a patient load of one individual per hour to ensure dedicated and personalized care.
• Utilize your expertise in orthopedic outpatient settings to implement cost-effective therapies aimed at enhancing clients' range of motion and mobility.
• Work closely with patients to minimize reliance on medication and explore non-surgical alternatives to treatment.
• Formulate tailored treatment plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques designed to fit each patient's unique situation.
• Design customized fitness and wellness programs, addressing specific needs and goals with measurable outcomes.
• Provide high-quality care grounded in solid evidence and proven interventions.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their treatment journey to maximize their functionality.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle for clients through improvements in strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and treatment plans.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes, monitor patient progress, and maintain effective communication with patients and their families.
• Document all services rendered accurately to maintain compliance and ensure continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including surgeries, sports injuries, and mobility impairments. Our diverse patient population spans across various ages and backgrounds, all with unique challenges that require tailored approaches. By focusing on individual recovery goals and interventions, you will play a critical role in restoring patients' independence and enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Education: A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) is required.
• Licensure: Must possess a valid Florida Physical Therapist license with no record of board or disciplinary actions.
• Skills: Proficiency in manual therapy techniques, designing and implementing exercise programs, and utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) software, preferably WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working as a Physical Therapist in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based practices in physical therapy to support rehabilitation outcomes.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 95,000 annually, commensurate with experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
