Warehouse Lead

Warehouse LeadWe are seeking an experienced Warehouse Lead to oversee daily operations, support team performance, and ensure productivity, accuracy, and safety standards are consistently met. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills in a fast-paced warehouse environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide consistent coaching and counseling to team membersLead assigned personnel on shift to meet productivity and efficiency targetsConduct accuracy and quality audits by verifying product quantity and conditionComplete assigned tasks and resolve day-to-day operational issuesTrain and cross-train employees across various job functionsSupport all operational requirements as directed by managementAssist with daily team huddles and participate in weekly leadership meetingsOversee and manage day-to-day employee activitiesDocument coaching and employee development conversationsPromote a positive work environment through effective communication and leadershipEnsure team safety by teaching and enforcing safety policies and proceduresQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required3+ years of people management experience, preferably in a warehouse settingStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to hold team members accountable and drive performanceWillingness to take direction and adapt to operational needsDemonstrated leadership and team-building skillsOrganized, dependable, punctual, and hardworkingProficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google SheetsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage employees in a positive and constructive mannerPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and/or walk for 8–12 hours per shiftFrequent pushing, pulling, bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching (above and below waist level)Ability to lift up to 50 poundsSurge is an equal opportunity employer.
