Sr. Workday Application Development Manager

Location: Chicago, IL – 5 Days Onsite

Duration: 1+ Year / C2H

Work Authorization: USC Only

Interview: 1st Virtual + 2nd In-Person

We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Application Development – Workday to lead technical/application development initiatives across the HR and Finance Workday ecosystem . The ideal candidate will have deep, hands-on Workday experience combined with strong application development, AWS, Java, and people leadership capabilities.

Must-Haves

8–10+ years of Workday experience preferred; 6–8+ considered with exceptional depth.
Strong experience across Workday HCM/HR and Finance .
Broad Workday ecosystem knowledge including HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, Time Tracking, Finance , etc.
Strong application development/technical architecture background.
Significant AWS experience.
Java/application development experience.
Strong technical team leadership and people-management experience.
Ability to communicate effectively with C-level executives, senior leadership, and business stakeholders .
Must have been hands-on with Workday earlier in career and remain technically current.
Experience leading technical teams rather than purely administering or configuring Workday.

Important: Candidates with only Workday administration, a single-module specialization, one implementation, or experience simply working for a company that uses Workday are unlikely to qualify.
