About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead the strategic direction and management of its operations team, which includes distribution centers and transportation functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, refining, and executing the operational and distribution network strategy to support the company's commercial objectives. This role demands a leader with a proven track record in fast-growing distribution businesses, particularly in multi-SKU, pick/pack distribution and fulfillment centers, as well as international and domestic transportation and logistics. The Vice President of Operations will be expected to create and lead a culture of continuous operational improvement, set and achieve efficiency and cost-cutting goals, and ensure a high level of quality and customer experience. Key responsibilities for the Vice President of Operations at the company include the implementation of a robust set of KPIs, fostering coordination between the operations team and other functions, and leading capital investment planning. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in the relevant areas, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence, process improvement, and footprint optimization. They should be a transformational leader with strong strategic and business leadership skills, capable of inspiring and energizing the operations and transportation organization. The role also requires a leader with a high level of emotional intelligence, a commitment to a strong safety culture, and the ability to attract, develop, and retain exceptional talent. An undergraduate degree is required, with a preference for an advanced degree or MBA.
