Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day & Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 12 months License: Permanent license in hand or compact state license Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for Must have current certifications in hand Must work at least every other holiday Description: The Registered Nurse will work on a step-down unit. The nurse may float to other units to care for the same patient population as needed. Shifts will rotate between days and nights. The facility will do its best to honor preferred shifts, but may require rotation to meet operational needs. An ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments will be completed during orientation. An acceptable score on both assessments is required for continued employment. All required documentation and information must be accurate and confirmed before offer presentation. The nurse must work with a maximum patient ratio set by the facility. All applicants need one reference from a manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for. Nurses and CSTs are exempt from nicotine-free facility requirements. Compliance with all facility policies and requirements is mandatory.
