An opportunity awaits to make a difference as a Special Education Teacher for the current school year. This full-time contract role is located at a single middle school within a nurturing, collaborative educational environment near Colorado Springs.

In this role, you will work 37.5 hours per week, focusing on delivering exceptional instruction and support to students in grades 6–8. You’ll join a large, supportive district team dedicated to creating positive learning outcomes for every child.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique learning profiles.
• Deliver specialized instruction in inclusive, resource, and/or self-contained settings.
• Monitor and document academic and behavioral progress, adapting instructional strategies as needed.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school personnel, families, and administrators to ensure holistic support.
• Maintain adherence to state and federal special education guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or from an accredited teacher preparation program.
• Active Colorado Teaching License with a Special Education Generalist endorsement (or eligibility to obtain prior to starting).
• Successful completion of background check and fingerprint clearance before the first day.
• Strong communication, organizational, and IEP management skills.

Position Details:
