Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients ranging from children to older adults using recognized assessments and profound observational methods.
• Design individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate and long-term communicative, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver dedicated speech therapy focused on varied elements such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and family members, to ensure holistic care.
• Guide and educate patients and families to sustain progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatment, providing consistent care throughout the patient's therapeutic journey.
• Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with state and federal standards, alongside organizational protocols.
• Continuously engage with recent developments in speech-language pathology through professional development activities and peer interactions.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified yet.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) awarded by ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within one month of employment.
