Steel Fabricator Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $ 22.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• Second Shift (Monday through Thursday from 03:30pm to 04:00am)

• Perform material handling duties including lifting, positioning, and removing workpieces from conveyors and bunks.
• Measure and mark reference points accurately using tape measures and layout tools.
• Load, stack, and transport materials, tools, and work-in-process products by hand or with overhead cranes.
• Attach chains, clamps, and rigging equipment to prepare materials for crane movement.
• Clean, grind, and prepare metal surfaces for welding, fabrication, painting, and shipping.
• Operate overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Assist with fabrication projects while meeting quality and production standards.

Steel Fabricator Qualifications:

• Weld certification in Carbon Steel MIG (GMAW) and SMAW, or the ability to obtain certification quickly.
• Experience with Steel fabrication
• Grinding and metal preparation
• Blueprint reading
• Material handling in a manufacturing environment
• Strong math and measurement skills
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
