Graphic Arts Instructor Pool-Part-Time

Graphic Arts Instructor Pool-Part-Time Position in the Visual and Performing Arts Department, part-time, with flexible employment schedule. This position is part of a continuous recruitment pool and may be filled as needed. Position Details Classification Title: Graphic Arts Instructor Pool-Part-Time Salary Range: $1572.67 – $1725.85 per lecture unit rate; $1258.16 – $1380.60 per lab unit rate. Salary Schedule Information: Column 1 – Column 3 (depending on education). Job Description May be asked to teach days, evenings, hybrid/online, and in the dual enrollment program. Online/hybrid teaching requires additional campus-based training. Special Requirements All degrees must be verified on a legible transcript; grade cards not accepted. Foreign degrees require evaluation. All coursework must come from accredited postsecondary institutions. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher AND at least two years of professional experience directly related to the teaching assignment. Associate degree AND at least six years of professional experience directly related to the teaching assignment. Valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area. Desirable Qualifications Demonstrated success in helping arts students from historically underrepresented and/or marginalized groups, nontraditional students, speakers of other languages, and students with learning disabilities.
